I generally don’t like the rapid reduction in daylight hours between labour day and winter solstice, but for the lazy photographer it has its benefits. You can generally do golden hour photography on your commute to and from work. Although the photographs below were not technically taken during the evening golden hour (rather they were taken about 90 minutes before sunset), the softer light and longer shadows add additional mood to the images.
So if you’re like me and really hate the shorter days, look on the bright side, there’s only 50 days before the shortest day of the year. In the meantime grab your camera and photograph your golden hour commute.
